Moses Got a Bush; You’ve Got the Internet
Stop Waiting for Miracles; Your Creativity Deserves a Spotlight Now
Once upon a desert, Moses stumbled upon a miracle: a bush ablaze, speaking destiny into his life.
Burning bushes are a once-in-creation event. Yep.
What if Moses had waited around for a second one? What if he’d spent his days scanning the horizon instead of stepping up?
You don’t need a burning bush. You’ve got the internet...a tool so miraculous it can launch your creative voice across continents in milliseconds.
Yet, too many writers, artists, and dreamers are stuck waiting for inspiration to strike.
It isn’t the lack of divine signs; it’s the hesitation to light the fire ourselves.
Creativity Doesn’t Wait…Why Are You?
We live in an age where opportunity sits in your pocket, glowing softly at you with every notification. Yeah, I know you deleted that one…
Yet instead of creating, so many of us scroll.
Instead of risking rejection, we wait for permission.
Instead of writing the story, painting the masterpiece, or filming the short, we daydream.
Why?
Fear and perfectionism have replaced productivity.
Waiting for inspiration is like standing in the rain, hoping for lightning to strike your umbrella.
Build your own spark.
The Fallacy of Divine Timing
It’s easy to romanticize the idea of being “chosen” or waiting for the “perfect time.”
Correct me in the comments if I’m wrong…every creator you admire didn’t wait for their moment…they made it.
Take Maya Angelou, who once said, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” She wrote even when she felt uninspired. She wrote through fear, doubt, and exhaustion.
Or consider Stephen King, who wrote Carrie in a trailer, throwing pages in the trash before his wife rescued them.
They didn’t wait for burning bushes; they lit their own damn matches.
From Miracles to Mechanics
The internet is your miracle. Blogs, newsletters, YouTube, podcasts, self-publishing platforms like Substack…these are your burning bushes.
Write the blog post even if it’s not perfect.
Publish that e-book even if you’re terrified of bad reviews.
Film the TikTok video even if your first one gets 3 views.
It’s not about perfection; it’s about showing up (yeah I know you heard it before, truth don’t come from nowhere, just like where there is smoke there is fire).
Inspiration often follows action, not the other way around.
Don’t Fear the Noise…Embrace It
Worried there are already “too many writers” or “too much competition”? Nonsense.
Or true…
Creativity isn’t a pie with limited slices. Your voice isn’t just unique, it’s irreplaceable.
The world doesn’t need another Moses. It needs you.
Remember when Oscar Wilde said: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
Spark Your Fire
Start Small: Post one idea, one paragraph, one sketch. The first step matters more than the tenth.
Create a Routine: Discipline outshines inspiration every time.
Engage Fearlessly: Share your work, even if it terrifies you. Feedback fuels growth.
Learn Relentlessly: Read books, watch tutorials, take courses. Creativity feeds on curiosity.
Persist Through Rejection: Every “no” sharpens your skills.
Why Burn Your Own Bush
The burning bush was about timing, sure. It was also about action.
Moses had to choose to approach it, to listen, to act. That’s the crux of creativity: choosing to show up, even when you’re scared, even when the path ahead is unclear.
Your burning bush isn’t going to show up. Your laptop, your notebook, your camera…those are already here. Waiting.
So YOU ARE THE ONE to stop scrolling, stop waiting, stop doubting.
It’s Your Turn
What creative idea have you been sitting on, afraid to share?
If fear wasn’t holding you back, what would you create today?
What’s one platform or tool you could use right now to share your voice?
Imagine your future self looking back on this moment…what would they tell you to start?
How will you ensure today isn’t wasted waiting for inspiration?
The burning bush isn’t coming. You are the spark. Light it up.
