Tea with Demons
A monk, tormented by inner demons, visited a hermit deep in the mountains.
“They whisper to me constantly,” the monk said. “What should I do?”
The hermit set out two cups and poured steaming tea. “Invite them here. Offer them tea. Be a gracious host.”
The monk nodded, closed his eyes, and did as instructed. Minutes passed. The tea cooled. The cups remained untouched.
The monk opened his eyes and stared at the full cups. “They didn’t come.”
The hermit lifted his own cup and drank deeply. “They never existed. Now drink. The tea is getting cold.”
Lesson: You cannot offer tea to a shadow. But you can stop waiting and taste the tea yourself.

A weary traveller sat down under a tree. The shade soothed him, and then he thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if there was some food...?"
A lavish meal miraculously appeared. The man looked around, amazed, then, just to test, he thought a comfortable bed would be nice, too. A bee appeared. Now he was puzzled. What if there is a ghost here and he shall kill me? A ghost appeared and killed him.
He was sitting under a "kalpa vriksha", a wish-granting tree... All the demons are in your head. 😁
This one is good and a little funny.
